The number of places being limited to 20 people, we'll select participants by sending them a confirmation email to the address given in this form so please make sure it's correct and check your emails in the coming days (other sessions will be organised). Requirements: if you can, bring your own laptop with a possibility of connecting to the internet on the Gif CNRS campus (Eduroam or Guest WiFi for example - WiFi at the CNRS) - you will be more confortable with your own laptop and it will be easier for you to follow on with analyses on your own data have ChimeraX installed on your PC: ChimeraX is a 3D visualisation tool available in the I2BC app store or easily downloadable from their internet site. Installing it prior to the training session will enable us to save time on the day itself. The programme: The session will span over a whole day, with a sequence of lectures followed by practical exercises. The ABC of protein structure (composition, format, how to get it?, what can it be used for?) Presentation of ChimeraX Practical example of how to master ChimeraX on a simple case Presentation of the AlphaFold tool and explanation of scores Practical example of how to manipulate and interpret scores predicted by AlphaFold Feel free to bring any questions you may have about your case study, which you can ask during the coffee breaks or towards the end of the practical sessions Lunch break will be about 1 hour around 12-12:30 pm depending on the progress of the course and is not provided.
