Getting started with the I2BC cluster
About this course
Targeted audience:
- bioinformatician newcomers who want to learn how to use the I2BC cluster
- biologists that are already a bit familiar with running scripts or programmes through command lines and who would like to learn how to use the I2BC cluster
Programme:
- A brief introduction to the SICS and the Forge
- What’s a cluster and why should I use one?
- How to connect to the I2BC cluster?
- How is it organised?
- How do you create and submit jobs?
Requirements:
- know a minimum of bash/shell or other programming language (we suggest you have a look at the IFB training modules for shell language, IFB scenarios 1, 2 & 3: https://sandboxbio.france-bioinformatique.fr
https://killercoda.com/ifb-eformation-linux) - bring your own laptop with a possibility of connecting to the internet on the Gif CNRS campus (Eduroam for example)
- have an I2BC account/email address (https://multipass.i2bc.paris-saclay.fr/)
